Hope he likes balls. We have been looking for all kinds of different balls for him to chew on.

We just now found out that Evan's birthday is the day after tomorrow!!! What are the odds of gaining two members to the family in less than three months that share the same birthday!!! Between his favorite toy being the the bell from my wedding and him sharing my birthday with me, I already feel a strong attachment to Evan!!! Thank God he is HOME!!!!! Love, Patti and Jimmy

What a pleasant surprise to find your site when I Googled Evan Bucklin and expected to find some items about my nephew who is in college. I found I was captivated by your site. Your Evan is wonderfully precious and so many good pics. My faves are the bathing ones - so purely evoking the loving care of a child. My very fave pic was of mom and Evan teaching each other to copy sticking out their tongues. It seems to be such a bond showing through already. The blog was great. I admire how dad was able to capture so many different parts of Russion life and carefully being non-judgemental - just reporting observations. I am so glad to have happened upon your site and I wish happy blessings to your family. Brita Bucklin - East Lansing MIchigan

Your son is adorable. My kind of way to have a baby, no big bellies (yes, I am abdominal obsessed) and no labor. Let someone else do the heavy lifting. I loved Scott's blog. I understand a lot of what he is saying. We, the yoga studio where I used to teach, had a summer intern from Russia for two summers. She was shopping crazed. Yes, did dress a little slutty as well as act a little slutty too. The yoga studio at least influenced her to a healthier lifestyle. She gave up smoking. At the public library where I worked in Milwaukee, we had a large Russian clientele. They were extremely pushy. I guess they were used to long bread lines. Lastly, my friend worked at a Russian restaurant in Milwaukee. Every table that had a group of Russians automatically got a big bottle of vodka placed on the table at the start of the meal. One thing I can say about every Russian I ever met, is they were all very educated.
